Vegetarian Shoes of Win!

http://www.bboheme.com/

Some really amazing boots and such on this ace vegetarian friendly website! Love.

Check out the lace up back, grey leopard print welly boots. Amazing.

I really love when vegetarian/vegan designs are forward thinking or even keeping up with today's fashions at all. As I am well aware of the time when vegan shoes were these hideous things that you wouldn't really wear unless hell froze over.

The word vegetarian when I was a kid was a bad bad word, somewhat misjudged and misguided as the knowledge was not available back then (over 20 years ago) ........... even now you will get some die hard meat eaters making you feel bad for not eating meat, that you are not getting the right nourishment and blah blah blah. Like you are a terrible per
son. Seriously I don't judge you, so do not judge me. But hey ho, times have changed (for most people) and so have fashions. Its great to pick up things which are non leather or suede and still cutting edge. The only thing I would request now is durability. I literally get through a pair of boots every 4 months or so, but I do love to walk.

Yay for veges!

Workshops?

So this month I have been busy with shoots all over the show. Something I have never done before is a workshop day. Very exciting it was to. I was the model for well known alt photographer Technical Boy and very well known fashion photographer Diego Indraccolo.

The guys were teaching a lovely bunch of people how to take photos. I have to say they were all lovely to work with. Some more courageous than others and all really friendly.
I also learnt rather a lot from the workshop too as well as giving hints and advice to the new photographers, which was great fun as I wanted them to realise how to react to a model. Most of them were to scared to say anything to me at all bless them and rather than tell me to move would rather move the whole light set up. After a while and much encouragement and direction from the guys, they warmed up nicely.

Diego took a few photos him self which I loved. Here is an example below, and something quite different for me for a change as its a basic headshot. No crazy make up or excessive outfit or hair, just me, with a bit of daily war paint and a nice result I would say! Enjoy.

Katy Perry

Love her or hate her you have to admire Katy Perry for being a latex style icon. The girl has done more for latex companies recently than any other person or campaign has done!

I never really was a fan of Katy at all, until recently. When her love of latex caught my eye. Its not fetish, but fun and sexy and sassy. Something a lot of old school designers could learn from.
I for one am a fan. Especially her catsuit for her new perfume. Yummy nessssss!

As you can see from the picture below she totally rocks this catsuit for her new perfume 'purr' (Credits to Miles Aldridge)

I love the leopard print design, much like the Lady Lucie designs. I think applique latex is the way forward. I for one when I have some money will be purchasing some yummy cat like pieces.

JPG and La Perla?!

Finally a 'collaboration' with a haute couture designer and a high street retailer I can appreciate!!

I adore Jean Paul Gaultier as it is, let alone when he designs avant garde lingerie. I mean, what more can a girl ask for but shoulder pads and amazing shapes. Talk about post apocalyptic mixed with chic and sleek to make me purr!!

Tigers Tat

Hello all,

I have a new creative outlet so to speak! I have decided to start making my own clothes, based on commissions and such.

I do have a degree in Fashion Design so I thought I would put it to good use. I have plenty of shoots which I am waiting for pictures back, so if you want to keep updated you can!

Here are a couple of pictures of my things.

let me know what you think!

I hope you like!

Busy Busy Busy

Hello all,

Sorry my last post was ages ago. I have been super busy.

In recent weeks I have had 5 shoots.

-The first shoot was with Nick Few at Switch Photography Studios. Looking forward to some of my own design work there.

-Second was with Switch Photography himself. Very excited to see pictures when he has finished his big move and other commitments! :)

-Third shoot was very last minute, in fact I only learnt of it the night before. With the lovely Gary Crozier in the lovely Leigh on Sea. make up by Sali Ms Moo, and hosting the lovely and very calm Rayna Terror (considering there were a fair few girls squeezed into her house). I have a picture of this shoot already.... See below), that man powers through his work! Terminator style!! Considering how long it takes to make us look like dolls he deserves a nice big cup of tea!
Go check him out at www.GaryCrozier.com.

'Me modelling my very first Tigers Tat creation'

-The fourth shoot was with Technical Boy Photography modelling some more of my creations. Should be exciting to see. One picture I adore already! :)

.....and the last but by no means least I shot with Julian M Kilsby. It was a great shoot. Gemma Sutton on hair and make up, with me modelling some Kaoris Latex Dreams, Lacing Lilith and Ghoulias Peculiars! It should be amazing! :)

Right. More to come soon!

Jenny Packham

So as a lot of you know I used to work for Jenny Packham. She never used to ooze style and many of her designs were catered to later be used in her Bridal Collections.

I always found a lot of her trademark beading a little to stifling and too middle eastern for the average girl. She used to have a cute little diffusion line called Jenny London, which on the most part was more hit than miss. Unfortunately for her and me, as this was the line I was to be working on, wasn't cost effective, so was ditched.

Now as much as it pains me too look, I have to check out what she is up too. With a talented now head pattern cutter under her wing, we get to see some very interesting shapes. Again with her 2010 collection, there are a few overly garish items, but with the ever rich middle east market, will be sure to accommodate.

Although there are some very simple and chic designs, which I actually love.
Let it be said that sometimes beading works and sometime swarovski works too.
I adore this outfit. Its chic and more fun and playful, more in keeping with her old diffusion line. Check her website out, as sometimes she does the best little party dresses.

DSquared for the Win!

After perusing the catwalk shows for Autumn/Winter 2010 I was surprised to find my self very very uninspired by the current 'trends' available, unless you want to look like any of the sesame street character as Dior's collection may lead you too wonder.

JPG's couture was a monochrome dream, with grey and black capes and jackets and odd hat adornments. Very chic, but I could imagine my very rich glamourous Aunt wearing this, (I have no rich Aunt but a girl can dream) not exactly what I expect from Gaultier but then my favourite collection was always his Mad Max homage.

One designer I have been particularly enamoured with for a while now is DSquared.
Their collection is a beautifully chic mix of Vampy evening dresses and what looks like latex tights and accessories to match, chic cobweb knits and statement adornments.

Check out their website for runway video and pictures.

This dress particularly caught my eye. In fact the whole look is so chic, I can just imagine some of the more fashion orientated TG crowd rocking this.

I definitely want this!

I has Fringe!

After years (and I mean years, 15 nearly) of having the same hair do, I decided to have a change. Nothing to drastic, a fringe!

Ok thats rather drastic for me to be honest.

It was my birthday yesterday and I felt like a change. Most girls do the usual after break up shop, eat and style change and I didn't feel any different. I had already spring cleaned my entire room (7 bags to charity and 4 to the skip) and done the I can't eat I'm to upset thing, so I wanted a change.

Fringe Ahoy! I look so cute its ridiculous!

You will have to excuse the goofy face! I look like a goofy git the most of the time. It will take some serious up keep but I can always pin it back, plus it goes well with my other pair of glasses.

On that note I have entered the Specsaver spectacle wearer of the year. You never know! Fingers crossed on that one. I may have to do a photoshoot with a fringe.

I am also making jewellery which I will include in another post. Let me know what you think .

Paris, baby!

This week has been a hectic week. Me and Strawberry Kiss jetted off to gay Paris to celebrate our birthdays (I say jetted off, we actually got the coach, but when you are short on cash, you do what you must and coaching off sounds less chic!)

We saw the sights and we shopped the shops and we walked A LOT!

One of the shops seemed to be a regular stop in our schedule, mostly because they had a sale on. That particular shop was Sephora. We used to have Sephora in the UK for a brief spell, but alas the brands timing was poor in releasing to the UK market as make-up was not in any way as popular as it is now.

After fwahing over all the brushes and Sephoras own make-up, I decided to head to the perfume section. Where I spotted a limited edition Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne Eau de Toilette.

I am a particularly fussy madam when it comes to perfumes and such, as I DO NOT like musty smelling perfumes, or those ones which make you smell like your Gran. The Parfum was nice enough, quite fresh, but it was missing something. The actual Eau de Toilette is so fresh, its beautiful and playful. I must get my hands on it. The limited edition was a different style box and graphic. Trying to find this in the Uk is proving to be a fail. Should have bought it out there but it was £56 euros and like I said, I was epically short on dough.

I will get my hands on it!

Strawberry bought a cool little book detailing the 'second time around' Parisienne must sees/dos.

We went to the cutest little restaurant and ordered some food (half spoken in english and half in french). Bless the waitress, she was ace and so sweet. It turns out it was only her first day. We tipped well! :)

We also HAD to go to Cafe Amelie. It was a must. The waitress was quite shocked that Laura was practically fluent and I, well I could command basic French if needed. Apparently a lot of the people who go in are English tourists! (Can't imagine why!)

More on paris when my computer wants to upload pictures!

My very first blog.

So after everyone (mainly Medina) telling me I should start my own blog about all things Tiger like (being me) and fashionable and generally ace, I decided to get on and start.

Never really done one of these things before but I will give it a go. Even if its just to stop my brain rotting whilst working in my current job, doing nothing even slightly fashionable. Ah well, it sorta pays the bills....kinda, nearly.....well....yeah!

Expect weird pictures of female icons, tattoos, japanese culture, overly colourful pictures and weird and wonderful imagery as I scan the interwank for ideas and amazing little things that make me smile.

Todays picture is called 'Welcome' as in welcome to my new page/blog.
Photography by the lovely Catherine Day.
